For contractors
Get verified. Be one of five.
I’m a local landlord, and I’ve hired more contractors than most people ever will. Every time I found a great one, I wanted to tell the whole neighborhood — so that’s what I’m building: a guide mailed to every homeowner in town, so that when a furnace quits or a pipe lets go, they open a drawer and call a name that’s already been checked out.
There are exactly five names per category. One of them could be yours.
Coverage
Choose where you want to be known.
The guide mails to every residential address in a ZIP, and pricing scales with the homes it reaches. Pick a neighborhood to see the verified mailing reach, the price, and what’s still open in your trade.

The offer
Only five spots per category.
3¢ a home, a season.
The price is 3¢ for every home the guide reaches — that’s it. In Plymouth: 3¢ × 6,007 USPS-verified homes = $180 a season. No per-lead fees, no bidding, no upsells. The guide mails four times a year, so you can run every issue or only the seasons that matter to your trade. Only five spots per category, so the other four companies in your trade won’t appear in that edition — that exclusivity is the whole point.
Featured Partners pay to support printing and mailing the guide, and every applicant is reviewed before being accepted — paying doesn’t lower the bar. See how we choose companies →
What you get
What a listing includes.
One flat fee per season. Everything below, in every issue you’re in. We do the writing and the vetting so your spot reads like the recommendation a neighbor would give.
- 01
The “Verified” seal — yours to use
Once you clear the bar, you’re Verified by I Know a Guy. Put it on your truck, your website, your yard signs, your estimates. A credential you earned — not an ad you bought.
- 02
Your name, front and center
Company name and phone number, printed clean in your category — one of only five.
- 03
A “Why they’re here” blurb
A short, editorial line on why a homeowner should call you. We write it with you — it reads like a recommendation, because it is one.
- 04
Your credentials line
Licensed, insured, years in business, and vetted by us. The proof that you cleared the bar.
- 05
In print and in the mail
Your listing runs in that season's edition, mailed free to every household in the ZIP. Renew each season to stay in the drawer year-round.
- 06
Your profile on this website
When a homeowner looks you up online, you’re right here in the guide, verified.
The bar
What it takes to qualify.
This is the part that makes the book work. The bar isn’t red tape — it’s the reason a homeowner trusts every name inside. If you clear it, you’re exactly who they’re looking for.
Licensed where the trade requires it
We check. If your trade needs a Minnesota license, we verify the number before we print it.
Insured
Proof of liability insurance. You send it once; we keep it on file.
A track record we can check
Real finished work and references we can verify by hand — not a star average anyone can pad.
You answer Plymouth calls
Within one business day. The whole book falls apart if a name doesn’t pick up.
And once you’re in: answer your Plymouth calls and do work you’d put your name on. If enough homeowners flag a real problem, you’re not in the next edition — it keeps the list worth being on. And a founding promise: if the first edition doesn’t mail, you don’t pay.
See it before you pay
No mockups. No back-and-forth. You design it and watch it appear.
Every page looks like this — one clean house style, so the book reads like a trusted guide, not a pile of ads. The only thing that’s yoursis your logo and your words. Pick an open spot, drop them in, and your listing builds itself, exactly as it’ll print.
- 1
Pick your exact spot
Earlier spots sit higher on the page.
- 2
Add your logo + a line
That's the only design you do. We handle the rest.

What you preview is what prints. No surprises.
